Northwest bounced back from its lone loss of the season with a 92-71 drubbing of Emporia State Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats (6-1) suffered its first set back to Washburn in overtime on Thursday, but showed no signs of a hangover shooting 61.2-percent and 57.6-percent on threes.

The Hornets hung tough trailing by just seven at halftime, but the 'Cats hit the accelerator once the second half began.

Northwest went on a 23-4 to open up a 26-point advantage.

Trevor Hudgins paced the Bearcats with 26 points.

Diego Bernard tacked on 19 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Ryan Hawkins also hit double-figures with 17 points, and Byron Alexander had 10.
